Central lubrication pump

Check the pump level regularely. If the grease in the pump reservoir is at
„min. level“, refill the pump. Proceed as described under item 9.2.
The central lubrication pump must not fall below
minimum level as the pump element then primes air
and supplies it into the system.
8.2.2
Central lubrication pump with level monitoring:
The external signal is active, level is too low (depends on connection, see 5).
Fill up the pump as described in item 9.2.
8.2.3
Central lubrication pump with control unit:
The pump level is electronically monitored. If all grease is used, the integrated level monitoring sends a signal to
the control unit. The unit switches off the pump and indicates an error. The red LED in the control unit window,
the external red lamp or the lamp of the collective fault signal are active. Fill up the pump as described under 9.2.
If there is enough lubricant in the pump, the error is deleted automatically.

Lubricant exchange / lubricant change
The lubricant exchange has to be carried out acc. to the lubricant manufacturer’s details;
ambient influences like high temperatures or soilings can reduce the mentioned intervals.
A change or exchange of lubricant has to be discussed with the manufacturer of the power
plant and of the central lubrication system. Please observe only to use greases that are
suitable for the central lubrication system (e.g. do not use greases with solid contents with
MoS ), and that fulfill the requirements of use. Please also observe the compatibility of the

“old” and “new” lubricant. Empty the lubicant reservoir complete and professional and clean
it. Pay attention to the details of lubricant or bearing manufacturer concerning specialities of
a lubricant exchange within the distributor system and in the lubrication points (e.g. ball
bearing).
