RHYTHM DESIGNER RD-8 User Manual

13.  Parameters

There are three different types of data files used by the RD-8. The contents of

these file types are described herein.

Global Settings File

All of the RD-8’s Settings and Preferences are stored in the Global Settings file.

This file is loaded from Storage Memory when the unit is powered on. The exact

contents of the file are described below:

Settings

Settings in the Global Settings file are automatically saved back to Storage

Memory whenever they are changed.

Data Version

From time to time, new versions of the RD-8

firmware will be released. This firmware will

contain both bug fixes and new features.

Additional parameters may be added to the

products that sequence songs. This parameter

is used to distinguish between RD-8 Song Data

files and other song data files.

Last Loaded Song

Each time a song is loaded into the sequencer it

is logged. When you power on the unit, the last

song to be logged before the unit was powered
