6.0 Maintenance
Provided it is used in accordance with the instruc-
tion manual, the instrument needs no special main-
tenance. If the instrument breaks down our service
department can offer you a quick and economical re-
pair facility.
6.1 Cleaning
If the instrument is dirty following use, it is advised
that it be cleaned using a damp cloth and mild house-
hold detergent.
Never use acid detergents or solvents.
Always disconnect the continuity tester from
any circuit before cleaning.
6.2 Battery Replacement
Before opening the instrument, it must be dis-
connected from all circuits.

Open the Continuity Tester.

Remove the battery from the casing. Insert the
new battery respecting the correct polarity.
Pay attention not to trap the battery leads be-
tween casing.

Close Continuity Tester
Please think of our environment when getting rid
of used batteries. They should be disposed of in a
place suitable for hazardous waste.
Please, comply with the respective valid regulation
regarding the return, recycling and disposal of used
batteries and accumulators.
If the instrument is likely to remain unused for
a long period the batteries must be removed. If
a battery should leak inside the housing, return
the instrument to our works for cleaning and
checking.
