Current Measurement in Single or
Multiple-phase Conductors
Position the open current converter to the conductor. Move the
current clamp around the conductor until the highest value is di-
splayed on the screen. With the display of the highest value the
phase is in proximity of the sport marked with the arrow.
For three-phase conductors the maximum values can be measured
at different values, depending on the phase load. The conductor can
be locked using the conductor lock (8).
Read the measurement value displayed on the screen.
If the display is not visible during the measurement, freeze the me-
asurement data by pressing the key "Data-Hold" (3). Then remove
the clamp from UUT and read the measurement value displayed on
the screen.
6.0 Maintenance
When using the instrument in compliance with the instruction manual,
no special maintenance is required.
6.1 Battery replacement
Prior to battery replacement, disconnect the instrument from the
connected measurement circuits.
Only use batteries as described in the technical data section!
If the symbol "
" appears in the display the batteries have to
be changed.
Switch off the instrument
Loosen the screws on the instrument rear
Open the batterie case cover
Remove the discharged batteries
Insert the new batteries
Replace the battery case cover and retighten the screws
