Generally, the power is supplied by the battery included in the scope of delivery.
However, it is possible to supply the instrument by connecting an external power
supply unit.
The external power supply unit must comply with the specifications in the
technical data section.
When supplying the instrument via the power supply unit, the battery does
not have to be removed.
5.2
General
The measurements have to be carried out in compliance with the respective-
ly applicable standards.
For all tests (measurements) follow the safety references as described
Direct the measurement microphone towards the sound emitting source.
To minimise operator influence on the measurements make sure that the
sound level meter is placed at a distance of approx. 50 cm away from the
body or mounted onto a tripod. The operator body acts as a sound reflector
and can lead to an error of measurement of up to ± 6dB.
During the measurement process, ensure that any persons present do not
influence the sound field, i.e. under no circumstance should the persons be
present within the sound field.
