4.0 Operation Elements and Connections
1.
Key "STAND BY"
: Causes the condition "ready
for turn-on" (in compliance with DIN VDE 0104).
Resets the instrument after an insulation error.
Switches off the high voltage when actuating the
key the second time. Turn-on is delayed by ap-
prox. 1 second, turn-off is carried out without
delay.
2.
Key "TEST"
: High voltage turn-on after a delay
time of approx. 1 second.
3.
Key-operated switch
: Used to pre-select the
desired voltage (left position 1000 V, right po-
sition 1500 V). For protection against unautho-
rised turn-on, the key may be removed when set
to in middle position.
4.
LED "THERMAL OVERLOAD"
: Indicates thermal
instrument overload.
5.
LED "INSULATION BREAK DOWN"
: Indicates
when a spark-over has taken place during test.
6.
LED "POWER ON"
: Indicates when the instru-
ment is connected to the mains and the key-op-
erated switch is set to 1000 V or 1500 V.
7.
LED "STAND BY"
: Indicates that the instrument
is ready-to-operate. High voltage is not active.
8.
LED "TEST"
: Indicates when high voltage is pre-
sent at test sockets.
9.
