Troubleshooting
The following table helps in localising and remedying minor faults:
Fault Possible cause Remedy
The appliance does not
work after pressing the on /
off switch.
Plug not inserted into socket. Insert plug.
Automatic circuit breaker in
electrical distribution board
tripped.
Switch on the automatic
circuit breaker again.
The internal safety switch has
switched off the appliance due
to overheating.
Allow the appliance to
cool off. If and when
required, replace any
clogged filters.
The automatic circuit
breaker in the electrical
distribution board trips.
Too many appliances connect-
ed to the same power circuit.
Reduce the number of
appliances on the power
circuit.
Appliance is defective.
Contact After-sales
Service.
The appliance is switched
off suddenly.
Plug has slipped out of the
socket.
Push the plug back into
the socket.
The internal safety switch has
switched off the appliance due
to overheating.
Allow the appliance to
cool off. If and when
required, replace any
clogged filters.
The cleaning power is
inadequate.
Blockage of the vacuum hose,
of the telescopic tube or of the
brush.
Remove the blockage.
Dust container is too full.
Empty the dust con-
tainer.
Dust container is not placed
correctly.
Place dust container
correctly.
Filter is clogged. Clean the filter.
