Preparation
NOTICE
• Do not operate the device without water. If this does happen, the heating element
of the device switches off automatically (protection against running dry). In this case,
allow the device to cool down for around 5 – 10 minutes before water is poured in
and the device is used again.
If water needs to be added, switch off the device, pull the mains plug out of the socket and
allow the device to cool down for a few minutes. When opening the lid (

), use potholders
or similar gloves and be careful.
Boiling Water
1. Pour water into the kettle (

) (see the “Operation” chapter | “Filling the Kettle”).
2. Place the lid (

) on the kettle (see the "Operation” chapter | “Removing / Attaching the Lid”).
3. Press the On / Off button ( 9 ) . The control lamp in the button lights up, the device starts
the heating process. In addition, the control lamp lights up for the temperature level which was
chosen last.
4. If necessary, press the 100°C button (

). The control lamp in the button lights up.
5. As soon as the water has been heated to 100°C, you will hear 2 short beeps and the device
will switch off. Both control lamps go out.
Heating Water
If water is just to be heated to a speci fi c temperature, the water should be boiled once (see
the “Preparation” chapter | “Boiling Water”). As soon as it has boiled, allow it to cool down
slightly.
1. Pour water into the kettle (

2. Place the lid (

) on the kettle (see the "Operation” chapter | “Removing / Attaching the Lid”).
3. Press the On / Off button (

) . The control lamp in the button lights up, the device starts
the heating process. In addition, the control lamp lights up for the temperature level which was
chosen last.
4. Press the button with the temperature you want (see the “Operation” chapter | “Temperature
Buttons”). The control lamp in the corresponding button lights up.
5. As soon as the water has been heated to the selected temperature, you will hear 2 short
beeps and the device will switch off automatically. The control lamps in both buttons go out.
