Before Initial Use
1. Remove all packaging materials and any possible protec-
tive fi lms used for protection during transportation.
2. Before you fi rst enjoy freshly brewed coffee, we recom-
mend cleaning the coffee jug and the permanent fi lter to
remove any possible production residues.To do this, follow
the instructions in the “Cleaning and Care” chapter.
Set-Up
1. Place the stand on a dry, stable, level and water-resistant
surface.
2. Place the coffee jug on the concrete base.
3. Place the permanent fi lter into the recess in the stand.
Brewing Coffee
The preparation of pour-over coffee is about more than just
a quick coffee from time to time. There’s a whole philosophy
behind the term. It’s all about taking time to enjoy the
preparation and the freshly brewed coffee to the full. Pour-over
preparation requires a little care, but don’t worry – with our
help and a little practice you’ll get the hang of it quickly!
You will fi nd tips on dosage and preparation in our “Tips
for the Perfect Pour-Over Coffee” on the following pages.
1. Boil up water and pour it through the permanent fi lter into
the coffee jug. The hot water will preheat the permanent
fi lter and the coffee jug.
