INFLATING THE NEWPORT

Follow these steps to get The Newport correctly inflated

and ready for action.

Getting Ready to Pump

1.

Take the deflated paddleboard out of your iSUP Travel Bag

and unroll it on a flat surface, top-side up.

 2.

Screw the wider end of the flexible pump hose

to the receptacle on the pump's handle.

3.

Turn and release the valve cap near the tail of the board.

 4.

Push and turn the yellow fill valve 90 degrees clockwise

so it springs up.

 5

.  Attach the valve end of the flexible pump hose to the valve

by pushing down and turning clockwise.

Pumping

 1.

Flip the lever on the back of the pump to the left to engage

the high-volume setting. This allows for faster initial inflating

because air is pumped into the board with each down stroke

and up stroke.

 2.

Place your feet firmly on the pump's foot pegs

and begin pumping.

 3.

Once the gauge registers around 12 PSI, you may want to flip

the lever to the right to engage the high-pressure single-action

mode. Here, air will be pumped on the downstroke only making

it easier to pump.

 4.

For everyday paddling, an internal pressure

of 15 PSI / 103.4 kPa will be sufficient for most riders.

However, the premium fabrication techniques used

in the construction of The Newport allow this iSUP

to achieve an industry-leading pressure rating of 20 PSI,

which is recommended to all paddlers for heightened

stability and responsiveness on the water.

 5.

Once fully inflated, remove the hose and twist

the valve cap back into place.

Attaching the Fin

1.

Flip the board over to bottom-side up.

2.

The black fin housing mount is at the tail of the board.

The fin slides into the lengthwise grooves that run fore

and aft of the housing.

 3.

Unscrew the silver nut from the screw attached to the fin,

then place the nut into the housing groove and slide it towards

the front end (facing the board's nose) of the housing mount.
