4.7.2.1 PM Timers
This category allows you to select the type (or degree) of power saving and is
directly related to the following modes:
1. HDD Power Down – When enabled and after the set time of system
inactivity, the hard disk drive will be powered down while all other devices
remain active.
2. Doze Mode – When enabled and after the set time of system inactivity, the
CPU clock will run at slower speed while all other devices remain active.
3. Suspend Mode – When enabled and after the set time of system inactivity,
all devices except the CPU will be shut off.
4.7.3 Video Off Method
Determines the manner in which the monitor is blanked.

SYNC+Blank
System turns off vertical and horizontal synchronization ports
and writes blanks to the video buffer.
DPMS
Select this option if your monitor supports the Display Power
Management Signaling (DPMS) standard of the Video
Electronics Standards Association (VESA). Use the software
supplied for your video subsystem to select video power
management values.
Blank Screen
System only writes blanks to the video buffer.
4.7.4 Video Off After
Monitor activity after video off: Doze, N/A, Standby or Suspend.
4.7.5 MODEM Use IRQ
Determines which IRQ the MODEM can use. The choices are: 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11
and N/A.
4.7.6 Doze Mode
Setup the timer to enter Doze Mode.
4.7.7 Standby Mode
Setup the timer to enter Standby Mode.
4.7.8 Suspend Mode
Setup the timer to enter Suspend Mode.
4.7.9 VGA Active Monitor
To enable or disable VGA Active Monitor.
