Chapter 1

Introduction

he Model 8000 Remote Access Concentrator (RAC) is a dial-in

remote access server that supports mixed traffic, such as analog modems,
V.120 ISDN terminal adapters, and devices supporting synchronous PPP.

Figure 1-1

illustrates a Model 8000 Remote Access Concentrator.
