Installing Remote Annex Network Software for Windows

Chapter 2

Installing on a Windows NT Server

T

his chapter covers installation of Remote Annex Network Software

for Windows on a Microsoft Windows NT Server. The process described
in this chapter loads the Server Tools, NA and Quick2Config Annex on
a host running either WindowsNT Server 3.51 or WindowsNT Server 4.0.

You can also install NA and Quick2Config Annex on one or more clients
on the Windows NT network. Chapter 3 covers installation of the software
on Windows 95 systems and Windows NT Workstations. Chapter 4
provides instructions for installing Quick2Config Annex on Windows 3.1
and Windows for Workgroups 3.11.

If you are installing Remote Annex Network Software for
Windows from a Remote Annex Software for UNIX CD-ROM,
the CD-ROM does not include the Server Tools for
WindowsNT.

Before you install the Annex software, make sure your workstation
hardware and software meet or exceed the minimum requirements
described in Chapter 1.

Security Authentication

The Remote Annex network software has third party security
authentication tools available from Security Dynamics (SecurID) and
RADIUS. Refer to the following sections if you plan to use security
authentication software on the server.
