Definition of braking usage ED %
The definition of the braking usage ED % is for assurance of enough time for the chop-
per unit and braking resistor to dissipate away heat generated by braking. When the
braking resistor heats up, the resistance would increase with temperature, and braking
torque would decrease accordingly.

Voltage settings
The power source of the chopper unit is the DC power from the + (P) and - (N) terminals
of the
b maXX
®
BM1000 . Therefore, it is an important step to set the voltage by the
input voltage of the b maXX
®
BM1000 before operation. This setting will affect the volt-
age level of the chopper unit.
