LIMITED WARRANTY
(United States & Canada)
The following Limited Warranty terms and conditions only
apply to Baume & Mercier watches sold or presented for
warranty-covered service in the United States of America
and Canada, in lieu of the Baume & Mercier Guarantee for
Australia and the International Guarantee covering any
Baume & Mercier watch sold or presented for guarantee-
covered service anywhere else in the world.
Warranty cover
Your Baume & Mercier watch is guaranteed to be free from
all manufacturing defects for a period of 24 months fol-
lowing the purchase date, according to the following terms
and conditions.
Any part found by our technical department to be flawed
as a result of a manufacturing defect will be, at the sole
discretion of Baume & Mercier, repaired or replaced free
of charge.
To claim this warranty at any approved Baume & Mercier
retailer, you must present the Baume & Mercier Limited
Warranty certificate duly completed, dated, stamped and
signed by an authorized Baume & Mercier retailer. Please
keep this document in a safe place.
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, this
Limited Warranty set forth above shall be the exclusive
manufacturer warranty. This Limited Warranty, along
with any other express or implied warrantees, including
but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability
or of fitness for any particular purpose, is strictly limited
to 24 months following the date of purchase.
Baume & Mercier is only responsible for the repair or re-
placement of your watch according to the terms and condi-
tions of this Limited Warranty. Conforming to the terms
and conditions of this Limited Warranty, Baume & Mercier
is not liable for any loss or damage following the use or
inability to use your watch, nor for any kind of incidental
or consequential damage which may occur to your watch.
Certain States, Provinces or Territories do not allow limi-
tations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclu-
sion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages,
so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
Exclusions
The Baume & Mercier Limited Warranty does not cover :
- defects and damage caused by accidents, improper or
abusive use (including knocks, dents, crushing, etc.) ;
- normal wear and tear of the components ;
- misuse or lack of regular care of the watch ;
- defects resulting from magnetic fields or climatic
conditions ;
- infiltration of humidity into the case and oxidation (in
the case of non-water-resistant watches) ;
- alterations, tampering, dismantling or services and
repairs carried out by anyone else other than an autho-
rized Baume & Mercier retailer or a Baume & Mercier
After-Sales Service Center ;
