d) Manually start/stop DCF reception
• Press and hold the + / button (6) for approx. 3 seconds to start/stop manual DCF reception.
Settings
• If not pressing any button for approx. 15 seconds, the setting procedure will be cancelled. The LCD will
show the current clock time.
• Press and hold + / button or - / ALARM SET (8) button to adjust the values at higher speed.
a) Manually setting the date and time
Manually setting the date and time is only necessary when you wish to operate the DCF radio
alarm clock outside the DCF reception range, if you wish to set another time zone than the
German time zone or if DCF reception is disturbed through ambient conditions. When the DCF
signal is received, the radio alarm clock overwrites the manual time and date setting.
• Press and hold the MODE / TIME SET button (9) in time display mode until the hour display begins
flashing. Press
MODE / TIME SET
button to confirm your settings. The next value starts flashing.
• Repeat these same steps to set the rest of the date/time: Hours, minutes, seconds, year, date format
(MM/DD or DD/MM; DD = day, MM = month), day, month, weekday display language and time zone
(±12 hours).
The following languages are available for displaying the weekday: English (EN), German (GE), French
(FR), Spanish (ES), Italian (IT), Dutch (NE), Danish (DA) and Russian (RU).

Confirm the last setting by pressing the
MODE / TIME SET button. The LCD will display the current clock
time.
b) Activating/deactivating the alarm
• Slide the ALARM ON / OFF switch (3) to the ALARM ON position. The display now shows the alarm
time instead of the temperature. The bell symbol appears next to the time. The alarm is then activated.
• Slide the ALARM ON / OFF switch (3) to the OFF position. The display now shows the temperature
instead of the alarm time. The LCD no longer shows the bell symbol .
c) Setting the alarm time
• Press and hold the - / ALARM SET
button until the alarm time hour begins flashing. The hour digits of the
alarm time start flashing.
• Press the + / or - / ALARM SET button to set the hours. Press MODE
button to confirm your settings.
The minute flashes.
• Press the + / button or - / ALARM SET button to set the minutes. Press MODE
button to confirm your
settings.
d) Turning off the alarm signal & using the snooze function
• The alarm signal will sound at the pre-set time. The
bell symbol flashes.
The alarm will turn off automatically after 2 minutes.
• During these 2 minutes, you can pause the alarm for approx. 5 minutes by pressing the SNOOZE / LIGHT
button (1). The snooze symbol
begins flashing. The alarm will sound again after approx. 5 minutes. You
can repeat that function as 8 times.
• Press any button (except the SNOOZE / LIGHT and RESET buttons) to end the snooze function or the
alarm signal.
• The alarm will go off again after 24 hours.
e) Selecting the time/alarm time display format
• Press the - / ALARM SET button to set the desired display format.
In 12-hour display, the display shows in the morning hours and in the afternoon hours.
f) Day of the week display
• Press the MODE / TIME SET button. The day of the week is shown for approx. 15 seconds instead of
the seconds.
• Press the MODE / TIME SET button again to return to second display early.
g) Selecting the temperature unit
• Press the °C / °F button (5) in time display mode to set the temperature display unit (°C or °F).
The temperature unit cannot be adjusted while the alarm is active.
h) Readings beyond the measuring range
• The display shows “LL.L” if the temperature is below the measuring range and “HH.H” if the temperature
range is exceeded.
i) DST display
• The symbol
lights up when the daylight saving time signal is received via DCF.
j) Turning on the backlight
• Press the SNOOZE / LIGHT button. The backlight turns on for several seconds.
k) Resetting the radio alarm clock
• Press the RESET button (7) using a pointy object (e.g. with an unfolded paper clip), if the LCD does not
show any correct readings. The radio alarm clock resets. This will cause all previous settings to be deleted.
All display elements light up briefly and a short beep indicates the product is operational. The radio alarm
clock switches to DCF reception mode.
• Any previously made manual settings such as alarm time must be made again.
Cleaning and care
• Never submerge the product in water.
• Remove the (reachargable) batteries before cleaning.
• Under no circumstances use aggressive cleanings agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions
since these can penetrate the housing or impair functionality.

Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory
guidelines.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used (rechargeable)
batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labeled with this symbol to indicate that disposal
in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd =
Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon
on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
(rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
