The electrical connection may be done only by a specialist.
To avoid shorts and any resulting damage to the device, the negative terminal (earth)
of the on-board battery has to be disconnected first.
Before reconnecting the negative terminal of the battery, ensure that the lamp has
been completely connected and the connection has been checked. Use only a
voltmeter or a diode test lamp to check the voltage of the vehicle system leads, as
normal test lamps consume excessive voltage and may thus damage the vehicle's
electronics.
When laying the cables, make sure that they are not squeezed or abraded on sharp
edges. Use rubber grommets for the lead-though points.
•
The lamp may only be installed when it is disconnected from the power supply.
• Make sure that the correct on-board power supply is present where you wish to install the
product.
•
The interior lamp has 4 (item no. 1539344) or 6 (item no. 1539345) screw holes for screw
mounting (2). Carefully remove the cover (1) to uncover the holes for the screws. If necessary,
use a flat screwdriver to help remove the cover.
•
Then draw the screw holes in your vehicle. Use the interior lamp without the cover as a
template for the screw holes.
•
Connect the cables to the on-board power supply before mounting the lamp.
• Connect the red connection lead on the connection cable (8) with the positive voltage
supply (12-24V).
This cable should be protected with an appropriate fuse (500 mA) in the positive power
supply.
• Connect the black connection lead of the connection cable with the negative voltage supply
(earth).
• You can use the supplied screws to attach the interior lamp if the screws are suitable for your
vehicle’s subsurface. The screws are suitable for wood and sheet metal surfaces. First pre-
drill with the appropriate screw size when fastening to sheet metal surfaces. Use a Phillips
screwdriver to tighten the screws.
•
Then place the cover on the mounted interior lamp. Make sure that it snaps into place at all
points.
Operation
•
Turn the lamp on/off with the on/off switch (3).
•
Use the cold light (6) and warm light buttons (7) to select the desired hue. The hue can be
selected in 5 steps.
•
Use the lighting level switches (4) to adjust the brightness. The brightness can be adjusted
in 5 steps.
Make sure that no liquids enter the interior lamp.
Care and cleaning
•
Turn the product off and let it cool down sufficiently.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could
damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
•
Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
•
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in household
waste. Always dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
