Preparing fruits and vegetables
•
For best-tasting juice, use only fresh fruits and vegetables.
•
The best foods for the juicer are apples, pineapples, oranges, grapes, melons,
carrots, celery, beets and tomatoes.
•
Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly before making juice.
•
Fruits and vegetables with thin skins do not need to be peeled. They can be
scrubbed with a sponge to remove traces of dirt or wax. Thick skins from e.g.
lemons, oranges or pineapples must be removed.
•
Fruits with large pits, such as mango and papaya, should have them removed to
avoid damage to blades.
•
Seeds from some fruits can have a bitter taste. Before making juice from such fruits,
remove the seeds.
•
Cut large fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces. Cone-shaped foods such as
carrots should be inserted with the thin end first.
