5.2 Operation
•
Prior t o firs t operation, cl ean the appli anc e and its equi pment , obs er ving i nstr ucti ons in sect ion 6 'Cl eaning' . Make sur e no water ent ers el ectric i nst allation and connec tion box. T hen thoroughl y dr y the appli anc e and t he entire eq uipment.

Caref ull y i nser t t he c onnection box wit h the heati ng element at t he bac k edge of t he applianc e. A pin in the bott om part of t he c onnecti on box must ent er a hol e in t he mai n applianc e. T his way t he connec tion box is properly mounted.
Tips for the User
• To limit loss of cold air minimize the opening time of door/sliding door.
Moreover, the door/sliding door should not be opened too often.
• Never obstruct ventilation openings inside the refrigerated display; air must
circulate well to provide for cooling functionality.
• Drinks and snacks stored in the appliance must be arranged in sufficient
distances between them. Insufficient clearance hinders the cooling effect.
• Do not place any warm food dishes in the appliance; cool them down to ambient
temperature first.
• If possible, in the event of a sudden power failure, avoid opening the door or
sliding door of the appliance in order to avoid loss of cool air.
Appliance Preparation
1. Before the first use, clean the appliance thoroughly according to the instructions
included in section 6. 'Cleaning' .
2. Then dry the appliance thoroughly.
3. Close the sliding glass pane door of the appliance on the operating side and the
front glass pane door.
4. Plug the appliance into a suitable single socket.
Appliance Start-up
1. Switch the appliance on with the ON/OFF switch located at the service side.
The red indicator light integrated with the ON/OFF switch will come on.
The appliance will be cooled down to the factory pre-set temperature.
The digital display shows current temperature inside the appliance.
The LCD cooling indicator is lit throughout the entire cooling process.
2. If needed, the temperature may be altered with digital temperature control
regulator keys. Observe indications set forth in section 'Settings'.
