Getting Started
This section gives an overview of what you need to do to start using your
NOOK
.
In the Package
The package your
NOOK
comes in contains four things:

Your
NOOK
•
A power adapter
that can be plugged into an electrical outlet. It has a nonpolarized type-A
plug for use in North America. The standard-A plug on the USB cable (the big end) fits into the
power adapter to connect the power adapter to your
NOOK
.
•
A USB cable
for transferring files to and from a personal computer, and for charging from a
wall outlet or computer. The USB cable has a micro-B plug on the
NOOK
end and a standard-A
plug on the computer end. It is a shielded USB 2.0 cable.
•
A printed Quick Start Guide
The battery is preinstalled in your
NOOK
.
You can save the package as a convenient place to store your
NOOK
when not in use, and as an
inner shipping box in the event you need to send your
NOOK
in for repairs or replacement.
