Steps

A.  Place metal base plate on a secure concrete 

surface and pre-drill 4 holes using a masonry drill 

bit.

B.  Bolt the plate to the solid concrete surface using 4 

heavy duty concrete screws.

C.  Once the plate is firmly fastened to the ground, 

place the concrete base over top the plate so that 

the hex nut

 

sits inside the plastic tubing.

D.  Using the hex-washer head, bolt the concrete base 

firmly to the plate. Make sure this is tight and that 

you cannot move the base.

E.  Place the cedar slab onto the bench and line up 

the 2 surface holes with the anchors in the top of 

the base.

F.  Bolt the wood to the base using the 2 flat head 

screws provided.

G.  Using the lag bolt

 

provided, fasten the concrete 

base to the wood from underneath the concrete 

supporting arm.

H.  Apply force by sitting and pushing on both sides of 

the bench to ensure the base is properly secured.
