Lock a channel
To prevent children from watching a channel, you can lock it. To watch a locked channel,
you must enter the four-digit access code first. You cannot lock programmes from
connected devices.
When the desired channel list is on-screen, select a channel you want to lock or unlock.
You can then lock or unlock the channel via the
Options
menu found under
LIST
on the
remote control. A locked channel is marked with a
icon.
If you lock or unlock channels in a channel list, you only have to enter the access code
once until you leave the channel list.
Parental rating...
To prevent children from watching a programme not suitable for their age, you can set
an age rating. Digital channels can have their programmes age rated. When the age
rating of a programme is equal to or higher than the age you have set as age rating for
your child, the programme will be locked. To watch a locked programme, you must enter
the access code first. For information on how to set an access code, press the

Channel options
While watching a channel, you can set some options. Depending on the tuner type, the
type of channel you are watching (analogue or digital) or depending on the TV settings
you have made, different options are available. You may find options, for example, for
subtitles, audio and subtitles language and for settings related to visually and hearing
impaired.
While watching a channel, bring up available functions via the
Options
menu found under
LIST
on your remote control.
Favourite channels
In a favourites channel list, you can collect the channels you like.
For each type of tuner, you can create four different lists of favourite channels. You can
name each favourites list individually. You can only reorder channels in favourites lists.
With a favourites list selected, you switch to the channels in that list when
pressing
or
.
Favourite channel options
You can press
LIST
and select
Options
to access additional functions, for example, to
create or remove a favourites list, or move a channel.
While watching a TV channel or when a favourites channel list is on-screen, bring up
available functions via the
Options
menu found under
LIST
on the remote control.
You can add a range of channels or start a favourites list by duplicating the complete
channel list and removing the channels you do not want.
Pause and play back a programme
With a USB hard drive connected to your television, you can pause, resume and repeat
a digital programme in progress. The television continues saving during timeshift, so
you are sure to see the entire programme. For information about a USB hard drive,
press the red button in the on-screen help and find '
When you switch to another channel, the buffer content from the previous channel is
cleared. Also, when you switch the television to standby, the buffer content is cleared.
Using a USB hard drive for timeshifting may not be supported by all programme
providers.
