Picture adjustments
Picture adjustments shall only be done in format 1 (4:3).
- Enter Service Mode and select the MONITOR line.
- Select the PICTURE ADJUSTMENTS line.
- Remove the colors (COLOR = 0).
- Adjust R-DR, G-DR and B-DR to correct white level.
- Adjust BLACK OFFSET R and BLACK OFFSET G to correct grey level.
- Select the G2 ADJUSTMENT line. The screen now turns black and the small display
at the top of the screen will show G2 HIGH, G2 OK or G2 LOW. Adjust by means
of 4R485 (G2) the display shows G2 OK.
- Press
m
and the display will show BL-G X. Then press
GO
.
- Select the COLOR line and set the value to the same as before the adjustment.
Then press
GO
.
Geometry adjustments
Geometry adjustments have to be done in format 1 (4:3) and format 2 (16:9).
Some of the adjustments are fi xed and should not be adjusted:
Vertical Slope (V-SL)
Must always be set to 25
Vertical S-Correction (V-SC)
Must always be set to 20
Horizontal sensitivity (EHT)
Must always be set to 38
The adjustments must be done fi rst in format 1 (4:3).
- Enter Service Mode and select the MONITOR line.
- Select the PICTURE ADJUSTMENTS line.
- Select the BRILLIANCE line and set the brilliance to max. (62).
Then
press
GO
.
- Select the GEOMETRY ADJUSTMENTS line.
- Select the BOW (Horizontal BOW) line and set it to 8.
- Select the H-AM (Horizontal AMplitude) line and adjust until the phosphor edge is
visible at both sides of the picture. Select the H-CT (Horizontal CenTering) line and
adjust to one of the three positions that gives the best centering of the picture.
Select the H-AM line and adjust to correct picture width. Then press
GO
and
m
to
select the PICTURE ADJUSTMENTS line.
Select the BRILLIANCE line and set the value to the same as before the adjustment.
Then press
GO
.
- Select the GEOMETRY ADJUSTMENTS line.
Horizontal Phase (H-PH)
- Adjust H-PH to the correct centering of the picture.
Horizontal Amplitude (H-AM)
- Adjust H-AM to the correct width of the picture.
Vertical Amplitude (V-AM)
- Adjust V-AM so that the picture fi ts at the top and bottom.
Vertical SHift/centering (V-SH)
- Adjust V-SH until the centre of the picture is at the centre of the screen.
East/West Parabola (EW-P)
- Adjust EW-P to the correct geometry at the sides. The middle part of the vertical
lines must be as straight as possible.
