PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THIS MANUAL BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE INSTALLATION.
Thank you for choosing GI.BI.DI.
• Before proceeding with installation, fit a magnetothermal or differential switch with a maximum
• Make the connections referring to the following tables and to the attached screen-print. Be extremely careful to
connect in series all the devices that are connected to the same N.C. (normally closed) input, and in parallel all the
devices that share the same N.O. (normally open) input. Incorrect installation or improper use of the product may
compromise system safety.
• Keep all the materials contained in the packaging away from children, since they pose a potential risk.
• The manufacturer declines all responsibility for improper functioning of the automated device if the original
components and accessories suitable for the specific application are not used.
• After installation, always carefully check proper functioning of the system and the devices used.
• This instruction manual addresses persons qualified for installation of “live equipment”. Therefore, good technical
knowledge and professional practice in compliance with the regulations in force are required.
• Maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel.

Secure or build the containers into a wall making sure to extract the optical-electronic part. The containers must be
installed in frontal position aligned on the same axis and at the same height from the ground.
Arrange the connection cables (0.5 mm²) leading into the containers connecting them to the respective terminal
boards of the receiver and transmitter (
Fig.1/Fig.2
).
Insert the optical-electronic part into the container and slide it to the bottom until the front is perfectly flush (if there is
resistance, the connection cables are probably too long). Secure the optical-electronic part to the container with 4
screws at the front. Power the photocell. Act on the adjusting screws (horizontal and vertical) of the transmitter and
receiver.
The photocell is set up to operate in synchronised mode. In this mode the photocells function only if
powered with alternate voltage. When making the connections, pay attention to the exact position of the
cables A and B (Fig.3)
.
If the device is powered with continuous voltage, the jumper (J1) on the RX and on the TX must be cut
(Fig.1/Fig.2
).
Check several times that the relays respond normally by interrupting the infrared ray.
Secure the front protection panel of the photocell with screws and again check functioning.
Jumper J2 operation
:
CLOSED= Standard operation
OPEN= Delayed operation, to be used in particular atmospheric conditions (snow).
N.B.: Do not set delayed operation with the synchronism.
