TIE ROD POSITION ADJUSTMENT FOR GAS THROTTLE
ACTIVATION
The adjustment of the burner fuel capacity is carried out using the
rotation of a butterfly valve whose movement is due to the rotation
of the air damper using the tie rod (3).
According to the position in which the joints at the end of the tie
rod are fixed (holes 1,2,3,4 of lever A fixed to the air damper pin or
holes 1,2,3 of lever G fixed to the gas throttle pin) different rotation
ratios for the two dampers is achieved.
The factory setting for the TBG 45 / 60 PV models envisages the
following combinations:
• Gas throttle lever G: hole N.2
• Air throttle lever A: hole N.3
With this combination, in relation to the maximum opening position
of the air damper (90°), the maximum opening of the gas throttle
is achieved (90°).
The factory setting guarantees optimal burner operation in the
majority of applications, although in some cases it is better to
modify the position of the joints on one or both of the levers (see
table).
The modify the position of the tie rod proceed as follows:
• Unscrew the two fastening nuts on the two lever joints.
• Remove the tie rod and reposition it inserting the joint pins into
chosen holes.
• Fix down the tie rod again tightening the nuts and washers.
CAUTION / WARNINGS
In the event the position of the tie rods is modified with
respect the factory configuration, it is advisable to set
the air flow regulation cam to 2a flame in the position
corresponding to the maximum opening of the gas throttle.
