STARTING UP AND REGULATION
•
Check that there is water in the boiler and that the gate valves of
the system are open.
•
Check that the discharge of combustion products through the boiler
gate and flue gate take places freely.
Make sure that there is not an electrical connection (jumper) between
the second stage thermostat terminals or that the thermostat is not
connected.
•
Switch on the main switch, the boiler thermostats and safety
thermostats and then start up the motor and ignition transformer.
•
In order to get a mild ignition, it is necessary to regulate air to the
bare minimum.
The burner is equipped with a flame disc adjustment screw that
allows you to optimise combustion, reducing or increasing the air
passage between the disc and head.
•
Normally, you need to decrease the air flow between disk and
head when the burner is running with limited fuel delivery, this air
flow must be proportionally larger when the burner is working with
increased fuel delivery.
•
After changing this position, it is normally necessary to correct the
positions of the air control valve for the first flame and second flame
and then check that ignition takes place properly.
