Points to be always observed during cooking

This toaster uses a heater to cook at 200°C or higher. When using the product, take care with the

following points.

Do not touch the metal part when removing food.

The temperature inside the toaster is high immediately after cooking. Touching the metal part

may cause burns.

Do not leave the main unit unattended during cooking.

Doing so may cause fire. When leaving the main unit unattended, be sure to press the power

ON/OFF button to turn the power “OFF”. In particular, when cooking rice cakes or food with

spread containing a large amount of oil or sugar, such as butter, jam, and cheese, never leave

the toaster unattended and watch for completion of cooking.

Do not use parchment paper, baking sheets, or paper pans for baking cakes.

Doing so may cause fire.

Do not use a container made of resin or silicone.

Doing so may cause fire.

Do not cook food for a time longer than necessary.

Adjust the cooking time while watching for completion of cooking. Set the time of the timer

dial correctly.

Do not heat canned or bottled food directly.

Bursting or deformation may occur, causing burns and other injuries.

Do not leave debris, such as remnants of food, accumulated in the crumb

catcher.

They may be charred and catch fire.

Select the most appropriate mode for food.

Refer to “Mode selection dial” (P.13) to select an appropriate mode.

Limit the thickness of food to less than 5.5 cm.

To prevent food from touching the upper heater tube, slice any loaf of bread that has a

thickness of 5.5 cm or more, and do not put too many toppings on a thick slice of bread or

the like.

Always place a heat-resistant dish or a sheet of aluminum foil when cooking

food that contains oil or drops easily through the toasting rack, such as butter,

jam, cheese, meat, fish, and deep-fried food.

Food or oil may drop on the heater tube, catching fire. Always put food on a heat-resistant

dish or place a sheet of aluminum foil.

When using a sheet of aluminum foil, take care to prevent the foil from touching

the heater tubes.

The sheet of aluminum foil may be melted and attach to the heater tubes, causing electric

shock, fire, or malfunction.

Always install the crumb catcher, toasting rack, and boiler cover before

cooking.

Failing to do so may cause burns, fire, or malfunction.
