Removing the BMD
NOTICE
Damage to the cylinder wall
While the sensor is being removed it can strike the
cylinder wall and damage it.

Before disassembly place a pad (made of cloth for
example) into the cylinder on to which the sensor
can fall.
1. Always join the front threaded rods to the rear threaded
rods using knurled nuts and affix using the lock nuts.
For short cylinders the removal can be
completed without rear threaded rods.
2. Remove adapter on cylinder and loosen connection
between BMD plug and adapter plug.
Tip
To undo the connection, press the latching
with a screwdriver while at the same time
pulling the plug elements apart.

Screw threaded rods into BMD.
4. Lift BMD attachment: unscrew all 3 set screws.
5. Position stop plate (a) and washers (b) , then screw on
nuts (c) .

6. Check whether the pad for protecting the cylinder (see
warning above) is still in the desired position and
correct as needed.
7. Remove BMD from the installed position by further
turning the two nuts (8mm flat-to-flat).
Take care that the connection cable or the
plug is not pinched and damaged.
8. Carefully pull the loosened BMD out of the cylinder
using the two threaded rods.
9. Remove protective pad.
10. Remove threaded rods.
