Preparing for installation
Construction of the installation fixture used for assembly
CAUTION
Risk of injury
The installation fixture or its heavier parts can cause
crushing injury from falling or movement.

Wear safety shoes.

Do not place fingers between moving parts.
Assembling the installation fixture
1.
BAM TO-MD-017-060 only: Check thread spacing and
adjust as necessary (see section Adjusting thread
spacing on page 2).

Loosen rear spacer.

Screw push rods together (

4. To align the holes, lay the installation fixture on a level
surface.

Connect threaded rod using knurled nut (screw in (

use lock nut (

) to secure).
6. Fix rear spacer.
Adjust thread spacing on BMD
(only for BAM TO-MD-017-060)
The threaded rods are preinstalled for a hole spacing of
36 mm. If a different spacing is required, the threaded rods
must be reconfigured.
Once the thread spacing is adjusted for both parts, the
installation fixture can be assembled (see section
Assembling the installation fixture page 2).
At this point adapting the preassembled parts is
described, which may differ depending on the
application. If the installation fixture is already
assembled, first the threaded rods connection
(between the front and rear section) must be
loosened.
Measure thread distances on the BMD or refer
to the BMD manual.
