Power supply units
DANGER
Electrocution
When touching live parts, there is a risk of electric shock
and death or serious injury may result.
►
Switch off the input voltage before installation or
modification work.
►
Do not open or modify the device!
►
In case of damage or malfunction, switch off the
device immediately.
►
Use the device only with protective earth (PE)
connected.
CAUTION
Danger of burns from hot surfaces
The housing heats up under normal operating conditions.
There is a risk of burn injuries. The device remains hot for
a while after it is switched off.
►
Avoid direct skin contact with the surface.
NOTICE
Device damage
Moisture penetration can damage the device.
►
Do not operate the device in a damp environment
or in an environment where condensation is likely to
occur.
If the output that supplies the IO-Link master is
switched off, IO-Link communication is no longer
possible.
This also applies to standby mode.
Switching on again can then no longer be done
via IO-Link or the HMI, but only locally on the
device via a restart (disconnect AC input voltage
and reconnect).
6.1
Output power display
The output power mode shows the actual total output
power after power on. This is the default mode of the LED
bar.
The output power is displayed as a percentage of the
power available below 55 °C (500 W = 100%). For
example, if the LED bar is switched on to 50%, 250 W will
be consumed. If the LED bar rises above 100% and thus
above 500 W, the LEDs flash orange from 125%.
Note the percentage scale in the left sidebar.
6.2
Output current display
The output current mode is used to check the output
current of the individual outputs.
To check these output currents
►
Press the arrow key (UP or DOWN).
⇒
OUT1 in the LED bar lights up orange.
⇒
The output current is displayed in real time in the
LED bar below.
Note the ampere scale to the right of the LED
scale.
To check the different output current values
►
In the LED bar, use the arrow keys (UP/DOWN) to
switch between OUT1...OUT4.
To return to the output power mode/default mode
►
Use the arrow keys (UP/DOWN) to press beyond the
highest (OUT4) or lowest (OUT1) output number.
6.3
Set tripping current
To set a new tripping current
1.
Press and hold the S key (Set Mode) for 3 seconds.
⇒
After all LEDs light up once, the LED shows the set
voltage.
2.
Select the output: Press the S key repeatedly until the
orange LED indicates the output to be changed.
3.
Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to increase or decrease
the setpoint.
Observe the current scale in the right sidebar
(e.g. 20% LED indicates 3 A).
⇒
The new value is now set.
If no action is taken for 15 seconds, the power supply unit
automatically switches to the output power mode.
