Y237 Operation
The Y237 adaptor is a mechanical component designed to be mounted on Dresser Produits
Industriels S.A.S. electrical instruments
only
.
The type Y237 cable entry adaptor allows the installation of 2 (or 3) cable glands of a certified type
Ex db IIC and Ex tb IIIC on hou
sing that are only equipped with a ½” NPT or ¾” NPT conforms to
ANSI/ASME B1.20.1.
This document defines the requirements for safe installation and operation of the Y237 on an
electrical instrument according to
ATEX 2014/34/EU directive
.
The essential health and safety requirements stated into annex II of the 2014/34/EU Directive has
been satisfied.
2. General requirements

The 12400 has been built with respect of the following standards:
