22. Install the rip fence by:
a.
Holding the fence centered over the miter slot with the tail end up about 4” – 5”.
b. Placing the front end of the fence onto the fence rail and with the lock handle lifted.
c. As the front of the fence is being engaged onto the fence rail, rotate the fence to lower
the tail of the fence into the back fence rail so that the guide bearing on the fence
engages the rear fence rail while the front fence engages the front fence rail.
When the fence is fully engaged onto the front and rear fence rails it should slide left and
right easily, with a gap of about 1/16” – 3/32’ between the table and the bottom of the fence.
Note: The scale on the fence is a relative indicator and not a precision measuring
instrument. While the it is intended to be acurate and reliable, variations occur. Precise
measurements shoud be completed using a seperate measuring instrument.
23. Align the flat on the blade guide adjustment shaft to
the set screw on the blade guide hand wheel and
install the hand wheel onto the shaft and tighten the
set screw.
