Change Lubricant
When lubrication needs to be changed:
1. UNPLUG OR DISCONNECT PLANER FROM POWER
SOURCE AND LOCK OUT POWER.
2. Remove the gear box and chain drive cover.
3. Place a suitable container under the drain plug (A).
4. Remove the drain plug (A) and allow the old lubrication
to fully drain.
5. Install and tighten the drain plug (A).
5. Remove the fill plug (B) on the left side of the gearbox
and fill the gearbox until the oil just reaches the bottom
of the fill port. Fill is approximately 1qt. (.94L) of a 70W
to 75W gear oil. 75W-85 is acceptable.
6. Install and tighten the fill plug (B).
Oil Disposal
Used oil products must be disposed of in a proper manner following your local regulations.
