To configure the manual stitching mode preset speeds
The manual stitching mode preset speeds are three different stitches-per-minute
speeds, that are saved for quick access from the Main screen. After the speed is set,
select one of the presets when in Manual stitching mode. This setting becomes the
current speed. For example, you set one preset for the speed you prefer for continuous
line free motion quilting, a different speed for ruler work, and yet another speed for
micro quilting.
1. Select Manual stitching mode by touching the
Manual
button.
2. Press the plus (+) button to increase or the minus (–) button to decrease the
current stitches per minute setting. Touch the save button next to one of the
stitches per minute presets to save the current setting as a preset.
QUILTING TIP
: Set the machine at a medium speed (such as 1000) and
begin moving fabric until you become accustomed to the resistance. By
moving the fabric faster, the stitches will begin to elongate. To adjust the
look of the stitch, either increase the speed or move the fabric slower to
get the desired stitch length. By moving the fabric slower, the stitches get
shorter and can build up on top of each other, break the thread, or make it
extremely difficult to remove. The stitching speed can be decreased, while
maintaining a constant motion with the fabric to bring the stitches to the
desired length.
