COI N BAY.
The coin bay is where t he Hopper U st ores t he coins and where t hey are ext ract ed from when
ordered t o do so by t he m achine. I t s design allows t he st orage of t he m axim um num ber of
coins in t he m inim um space, t aking int o account t hat even t he last coin can be ext ract ed.
There are various m odels wit h different capacit ies.

M OVI N G FLAP.
This elem ent m oves and doses t he flow of coins t hat m ove from t he coin bay t o t he ext ract or
disk.
The flap is fixed t o t he coin bay at t he t op and t he lower part rest s on t he axis of t he disk. This
way t he spinning disk t ransm it s a rocking m ot ion t o t he flap t hat m oves t he coins in t he
hopper; t his m ovem ent m oves t he coins t owards t he ext ract ion syst em . For coins of m ore t han
29 m m in diam et er, a different flap is used; it is called t he short flap ( it allow s t he bigger coins
t o pass under t he flap t o reach t he ext ract or disk) . This flap is not recom m ended for use wit h
sm aller coins as it will allow t oo m any coins t o reach t he disk causing problem s wit h t heir
ext ract ion.
