1. Changing the Spark Plug
CAUTION: ALLOW THE ENGINE TO COOL BEFORE REMOVING THE
SPARK PLUG.
a) Open the maintenance cover (23).
b) Remove the spark plug cap from the spark plug.
c) Use the supplied spark plug spanner to remove the spark plug.
d) Remove any carbon that has accumulated around the spark plug.
e) Check the overall condition of the spark plug and replace if necessary.
f) Reinstall the spark plug and the spark plug cap.
2. Checking the Air Filter
CAUTION: DO NOT USE THE GENERATOR WITHOUT THE AIR
FILTER FITTED, THIS CAN DAMAGE THE GENERATOR.
a) Open the maintenance cover (23)
b) Unlock and remove the air filter cover.
c) Remove the air filter element.
d) Make sure that the air filter is clean and not damaged.
• If the air filter is damaged, replace it with a new one.
• If the filter is dirty, wash the filter in a solution of warm water and mild
detergent and rinse thoroughly. Leave the filter to dry completely, once it is dry
immerse the filter in clean engine oil and squeeze the filter to remove excess oil.
WARNING: DO NOT USE INFLAMMABLE SOLVENTS OR PETROL
TO CLEAN THE AIR FILTER.
e) e) Replace the filter back into its original position and replace the air filter cover
3. Handling Fuels
CAUTION
！
Fuels are flammable and explosive. Avoid the risk of
explosion and fire:
a) Switch off the motor and allow cooling down before refilling.
b) Smoking and any other naked flame is forbidden when handling fuels.
c) Only store and mix fuels in authorized and clearly labeled canisters.
d) Keep fuels under lock and key. Fuels may vaporize even at ambient temperature
and may collect at floor level in closed rooms (risk of explosion).
e) Start the appliance at least nine meters away from the place you tanked it.
