EZ-SEAL HEAT TUNNEL

MAIN COMPONENTS

CONVECTIVE (BR/SR Models)

The Convective style Heat Shrink Tunnel has the following main components:

1.

Temperature Controller (1128)

 – The temperature controller monitors a thermocouple and

controls power to the heater elements to maintain the set temperature.

2.

Thermocouple (1031)

 – The thermocouple monitors the temperature of the air in the tunnel.

3.

Solid State Relay (1127 220VAC)/(1220 480VAC)

 – The Solid State Relay takes the signal

from the temperature controller and turns on and off to control the flow of electricity through
the heating elements.

4.

Fan (1057)

 – The fan and its two blower wheels provide the forced air flow through the

tunnel.  The lower wheel (3052) provides the re-circulating flow of hot air which shrinks the
film.  The upper wheel (3072) provides a flow of air that keeps the control components cool
and cools the outer skin of the tunnel.

5.

Heat Up/Cool Down Switch (1066)

 – This switch allows the operator to enable and disable

the heating elements to allow the tunnel to heat up or cool down.

6.

Snap Switch (1089)

 – Bimetallic switch which controls the operation of the fan.  Turns fan

on and off at about 120 degrees F.

7.

Heating Elements (1042 220VAC)/(1221 & 1223 480VAC)

 – 3600-Watt resistive type

heating elements provided.

The fan and temperature controller operate on 220 Volts AC.  If the tunnel is provided for a voltage other
than 220 VAC then a step down transformer is provided.

RADIANT (IR Models)

The Radiant style Heat Shrink Tunnel has the following main components:

1.

Proportional Controller (1631)

– The temperature controller, with an integral on/off switch,

monitors the amount of electrical current to the heating elements and turns on and off to
maintain the desired heat level.

2.

Fan (1054)

 – The fan provides a flow of air that keeps the control components cool and cools

the outer skin of the tunnel.

3.

Infrared Elements (1629)

– 2500-Watt metallic type heating elements with reflector.
