SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
THE HEATING ELEMENTS WITHIN THE TUNNEL REACH
VERY HIGH TEMPERATURES. AT NO TIME SHOULD AN
OPERATOR PLACE HIS HAND OR ANY OBJECT IN THE
TUNNEL WHEN IT IS OPERATING, PRIOR TO THE INTERIOR
COOLING TO ROOM TEMPERATURE OR WHEN POWER IS
CONNECTED TO UNIT.
The Heat Shrink Tunnel should be installed by a qualified Electrician
in accordance with local electrical codes.
Allow the unit to cool to room temperature and fan to shut off before
turning power off to the unit under normal conditions.
The Heat Shrink Tunnel is
not
washdown rated. Turn power off to the
tunnel and cover before conducting any washdown operations near the
tunnel. If the tunnel gets wet it must be allowed to dry and be
inspected by a qualified Electrician prior to being returned to service.
The Heat Shrink Tunnel
should not
be run for extended periods of
time with out the conveyor running. Operating the tunnel with out
running the conveyor may result in damage to the conveyor.
If running flammable products through the heat shrink tunnel do not
allow the conveyor to stop while product is in the tunnel or providing
a tunnel lift to prevent overheating
Always use recommended replacement parts. The use of substandard or non-
conforming components for a brief period of time may cause the machine to
malfunction. All components have been carefully chosen for efficiency, durability,
and reliability. Please refer to this manual for information regarding spare parts. If
there is any doubt, please call Axon Corporation.
Good Housekeeping is a good safety practice and aids in improving machine
efficiency. Keep the machine and area around the machine clean at all times.
