same expansion ratio.
The cobweb pattern of lines differ from cracks in that they can only
be felt by running a fingernail over them. They stand out more if
the surface is dusty or magnified. Crackle can look like damage, but
does not affect the functionality or lifespan of the product. For this
reason crackle is not included in the warranty. The fact is that the
crackle process makes the product stronger.
ASSEMBLY
NOTE:
•
Assemble the grill on a soft underlay to avoid scratching
the enamel.
•
Do not overtighten the screw unions. Use just enough
force to avoid damaging screws and components.
•
To simplify assembly, first tighten the screws and nuts
loosely, and then tighten them firmly when the assembly
is completed.
Before assembly
• Remove all the packaging material first, but save the
instructions and store them together with the product.
• Check that all the parts on the list are included.
• Make sure that the lid is closed before fitting.
Assembly
1. Fasten the four wheels on each end of the four bars
by pressing them through the predrilled hole. Use a
combination spanner and fasten each wheel with 1 nut.
FIG. 2
2. Fit the carriage by putting the two cross-shaped parts in each
of the four bars both from above and underneath.
FIG. 3
3. Insert the cross-shaped parts in the other three bars.
4. Fasten the bars with the cross-shaped parts with the 16
screws. Check that the carriage is stable and that all the
screws are properly tightened before placing the grill on the
carriage.
FIG. 4
5. Take all the parts inside the grill out so that it is easier to lift.
The grill should be lifted up by at least two persons to put it
on the carriage. Place one hand in the bottom valve and the
other under the grill.
NOTE:
Do not lift with the hinge or side table, this could both damage
the grill and cause personal injury.
6. Place the grill on the carriage with the bottom valve pointing
to the front of the carriage so that it can be opened and
closed without interruption.
7. When the grill is safely placed on the carriage, put the
ceramic fireplace box, the charcoal rack, ceramic fireplace
ring and the grill rack in the grill.
FIG. 5
8. Press down the wheel locking mechanism to lock the wheels
so that the grill does not move when in use.
9. Fasten the lid’s upper damper plate on the lid with the 2
prefitted screws and the dome nuts.
FIG. 6
10. Fasten the lid’s lower damper plate on the grill with the 2
prefitted screws and the dome nuts.
11. Fasten the handle on the lid. Start by fastening the two
handle holders with the 2 prefitted screws and the dome
nuts. Fasten the handle in the holders with the 2 screws and
nuts.
12. Fit the top valve on the grill by putting it over the grill and
aligning the two screw holes. Fasten with the 2 screws and
nuts. Make sure that the top valve screw (see arrow) is on
the left side when fitting.
FIG. 7
13. Fasten the 2 table fasteners on the grill with the 2 prefitted
screws and the dome nuts for each fastener.
FIG. 8
14. Fasten the 2 table hinges in each table fastener.
FIG. 9
USE
NOTE:
•
When opening a hot lid it is important to open it a little a
few times first so that air flows in slowly and safely, and to
prevent a draught and flames.
•
Be especially careful when opening the grill if the valves
are closed because the inflow of oxygen can cause the
flames to flash up. If flames flash up in this way close the
lid and all the openings immediately to control the flames.
•
Wear grill gloves to avoid burn injuries when grilling.
•
The grill can be used during the winter, but it must be
covered over and kept under a roof.
• Because of the heat retaining properties of the grill it gets
very hot. The temperature can be maintained and controlled
precisely with the air flow in the top and bottom valves.
• A high temperature is suitable for quickly grilling
hamburgers and sausages, while a lower temperature is
better for larger pieces of meat cooked for a longer time.
• Try out using smoke chips together with the charcoal to
flavour the food.
• Soak smoke chips or grilling planks in water before grilling to
prolong the smoking process. Follow the instructions on the
packaging for the smoke chips/grilling plank.
• If the ventilation openings are closed the grill will maintain a
