Position the child car seat in a suitable forward-facing vehicle seat.
Place the child seat so that it rests flat against the vehicle seat back.
Check that the backrest is flat against the vehicle seat and if the vehicle’s seat back is
adjustable, ensure it is in the upright position.
Place the seat base (G) on the floor. Line up the hooked hinge end of the backrest (i)
with the slot at the back of the seat base and push the hooked end into the slot.
Whilst ensuring the hooked end does not come out of the slot, hinge the backrest
upwards until it “clicks” into place.
WARNING: Keep children away and avoid trapping anything in the hinged area whilst
attaching the backrest and seat base.

Reclining the vehicle seat may adversely affect the position of the vehicle seat
belt across the child and may result in death or serious injury during a crash. Refer
to your vehicle owner’s manual for adjusting the vehicle seat back with child
seats.
Place your child in the seat and check the headrest is at the correct height.
The shoulder belt guides should be level with your child’s shoulders. If the guides are too high
or too low then you will need to adjust the headrest height as described in the next step.
To adjust the height of the child car seat, squeeze the adjustment handle (H) on the
back of the headrest and move the headrest up or down to one of its seven positions.
Once the right height is found, release the handle and check the headrest to ensure it is
locked into position.
IMPORTANT: NEVER place your child in the car seat whilst it is not fitted in a car. The child
car seat should never be used free-standing as it may tip backwards.
