3.1.6 - Active Directory 

Active  Directory  is  mainly  used  for  restricting  the  access  to  the  thin  client's  local  desktop  (see 
Chapter 3.2.8). Once authenticated by Active Directory the terminal can be configured to connect to 
multiple sessions without reprompting for user credentials. 

It also can be used to perform a smartcard logon with a NLA RDS/TSE session. 

The  Active  Directory  settings  are  available  through  the 

[Configuration]-[Network]-[Active 

Directory]

 menu: 

  

Description of parameters: 

- 

Domain Controller

: IP address of the Active Directory domain controller 

- 

Domain Name

: enter the full name (not the NETBIOS name) 

- 

NTP  Server

:  IP  address  (or  DNS  name)  of  the  time  server  (it  can  be  obtained  also  with  a 

DHCP server 

– See Chapter 3.1.2) 

Note

: the two options of 'Domain AD' can't be modified when the AD session is in use.
