3) eSATA 1, eSATA 2 & eSATA SWITCH

This device could be used as a NVR to connect a disk array; it could also be used as a disk array to be
connected to a NVR for video recording. To know how to switch the mode, please check the table below:

Note:
Please purchase a disk array supporting Linux system to ensure your device works properly. For
the compatible list, please refer to “APPENDIX 5 DISK ARRAY COMPATIBLE LIST” at page 54.
Note:
If the disk array is not connected or detected well, check the mode of your disk array, or do a
reset default on your disk array and try again.
4) INTERNET
This port is used to connect your device to Internet.
5) LAN
This port is used to connect IP cameras to this device with a hub (if necessary) locally.
6) AUDIO OUT
7) Connect to a speaker.
8) EXTERNAL I/O
Insert the supplied external I/O block, and users are able to connect external devices.
9) DC Power Jack x 2
Connect the device to power with the regulated adapters. For initial use, the device will be powered on
immediately when the adapter is connected.
This device has two DC jacks for power redundancy to give a secondary power supply in case the main
power supply is disconnected. The power supply is continued without interruption.
10) LED indicators for adapters, fans, and power modules
There are indicators for FAN, ADAPTER, and power modules (3.3V / 5V / 12V) for users to diagnosis the
status of fans, adapters and power modules.
When any of the indicators is red, the ERROR indicator on the front panel will turn red to warm the users,
and you’ll see “
” on the live view.
