TLE tracking does not find
target signal
TLE Tracking does not find target
signal (as seen in
Current Signal
Level
sensor output or on a
spectrum analyzer).
Check that the TLE Data is current and
accurate.
Check that the system’s latitude, longitude,
and heading are correct.
Check that the
TLE Reflector Size
is
configured correctly.
Check that the
Controller Time
and
Controller Date
sensor output items display
correct values
If tracking with the TLE Scan Step Enable set
to Yes, check the following:
Check that the
Scan Source
target
configuration item is set for the desired
signal source.
Check that the current signal source is
configured correctly for the target
(attenuation, frequency, etc.).
Check that the desired signal device, feed,
and all cables are connected and
operational.
TLE scan does not return to
the target signal when tracking
with
TLE Scan Step Enable
core configuration item set to
Yes
TLE scan passes through target
signal (as seen in
Current Signal
Level
sensor output), but does not
return to target signal before
performing step track.
Check that the current signal source is
configured correctly for the target
(attenuation, frequency, etc.) and will not
see a greater signal off the target during the
scan.
Reduce the
TLE Coarse Scan Velocity
and
TLE Fine Scan Velocity
if the current signal
device has a low signal level update rate.
TLE scan appears jerky when
tracking with
TLE Scan Step
Enable
core configuration item
set to
Yes
Running a TLE scan causes sudden
or jerky movements in azimuth or
elevation.
Adjust the
TLE Coarse Scan Velocity
and
TLE
Fine Scan Velocity
.
Check system calibration and system
performance on other commanded
movements.
