Activate test
mode
When active, new files are downloaded to a test directory (hosted by a second
HTTP server) for approval. When validated, they can be committed to the default
HTTP server and deployed over the Security Environment. See
Test mode –
Page 92.
Automatic mode All updates are performed automatically by the Internet Update Manager.
Enable mail
notifications
When active, the updater sends email notifications using the server set in the
General configuration.
Notification level The type of events to be reported by email (Errors, Warnings, Information).
E-Mail recipients Email addresses to receive the notifications about update events.

Use Proxy Option to set a proxy for SMC Server Internet communication.
Proxy
authentication
Option for authentication on proxy, if necessary.
Proxy Username,
password
Username and password for connecting to proxy.
Proxy IP address,
port
IP address and communication port for the proxy server.
Use client
authentication
Activation of SSL authentication for update server.
SSL Password Password for SSL certificates (change it only if you use another certificate).
In case of NTLM authentication, when using for example an ISA Server with "Integrating
Authentication" as proxy, you have to specify the domain or group of the ISA Server.
