The different usage duration specifications are not aligned by the program. The
program uses the lowest applicable value at any time to restrict the usage duration.
Exact usage period
The Exact usage period button takes you to a dialog in which you can stipulate the
times of the day for the defined maximum usage duration. See Usage period .
Usage period
In the Usage period window, you can stipulate the permitted usage times for the
maximum Internet usage duration specified for the role. You can define specific times of
the day per weekday for Internet use.
Only allow Internet use at the specified times
This option lets you stipulate times of the day for "surfing" for all computer users
assigned a configured role. If the Internet is used by the role-assigned computer users
outside the stipulated hours, the requested websites are blocked. A message appears
in the web browser.
To specify times of the day for Internet use, highlight the required time fields.
You have the following options for defining the allowed and prohibited time intervals:
 To define allowed surfing time : Click unhighlighted time fields or drag the left-hand
mouse button over the unhighlighted time fields.
 To define prohibited surfing time : Click highlighted time fields or drag the left-hand
mouse button over the highlighted time fields.
Right-click in a highlighted or unhighlighted area on a day's row, to display a details
window, containing the defined interval for that day of the week. Example:
Internet use blocked from 00:00 to 11:00.
12.6.3 Report
The Web Protection includes an extensive logging function to provide the user or
administrator with exact notes about the type and manner of a detection.
Reporting
This group allows for the content of the report file to be determined.
Off
If this option is enabled, then Web Protection does not create a log.
It is recommended that you should turn off the logging function only in exceptional
cases, such as if you are executing trials with multiple viruses or unwanted programs.
