3. When you are asked by your contact person, click GET ACTIVATION CODE .
A 9-digit activation code is generated that will expire in 1 hour.
4. Provide the activation code to your contact person, who will add the device in the Avigilon Cloud
Service platform service.
5. After your contact person tells you the device has been added, close the Registration: No Account
Access dialog box.
6. Press the F5 key to refresh the Avigilon Blue Connect Administration portal and confirm that the
device is now activated.
Now the Avigilon Blue Connect device and cameras can be configured for daily operation with the
Avigilon Cloud Service platform service.
Reactivating a Deactivated Avigilon Blue Connect
Device
Deleting an Avigilon Blue Connect device from a subscriber's Avigilon Cloud Service platform service also
deactivates the device. You might delete a device to move it from one subscriber site to another.
Before you can reactivate the Avigilon Blue Connect device, you must reset it back to the original factory
default settings:
1. Install the device at the new site. See Hardware Installation on page 11
2. Reset the device to its factory default settings:
a. Using a straightened paperclip or similar tool, gently press and hold the reset button.
b. Release the reset button after you see the LED is blinking orange.
c. Wait for 3-5 minutes for the appliance to complete the restart and the LED is green.
3. Re-activate the device. For more information, see Activating the Avigilon Blue Connect Device on
page 12 .
After the device is activated, the Avigilon Cloud Service platform subscriber can upgrade the firmware, and
configure the Avigilon Blue Connect device and cameras for daily operation through the Avigilon Cloud
Service platform service.
