CTR 8540 GETTING STARTED: INSTALLATION

When connected to an Aviat radio the features include modulations to 1024
QAM, adaptive coding and modulation (ACM), and extensive protection and
co-path configurations.
Unpacking
Carefully unpack the CTR 8540 from its transport box and check that items supplied
are in agreement with the shipping documentation, are as-ordered, and are undam-
aged.

Rack-mounting installation kit
Optioned (as-ordered) items may include:

SFP(s) for optical or electrical media

Serial cable or serial cable + serial USB adapter to provide connection from
your PC to the CTR Maintenance V.24 port.

plier.
Installation
Instruction is provided to rack-mount the CTR 8540, install option modules and
SFPs, and connect power, management, and signal cables.
