The list of parameters is identical to those available for the
Scan of the whole
computer
. However, the default settings differ: with the Scan of the Whole
Computer most parameters are selected while for the Shell extension scan (
Scanning in Windows Explorer
) only the relevant parameters are switched on.
10.7.3. Scan Specific Files or Folders
The editing interface for Scan specific files or folders is identical to the
Scan
Whole Computer
editing dialog. All configuration options are the same; however,
the default settings are more strict for the
Scan of the whole computer
:
All parameters set up in this configuration dialog apply only to the areas selected for
scanning with the
Scan of specific files or folders
! If you tick the Scan for
rootkits option within this configuration dialog, only a quick rootkit test will be
performed, i.e. rootkit scanning of selected areas only.
