RD40RF Remote Display User Instructions
3.5 Using with the 1040/2040 Series Indicators
The RD40RF is a wireless remote display that is compatible with many of the Avery
Weigh-Tronix indicators. This document describes using it our 1040/2040 batching
indicators. We will describe the setup and usage of the RD40RF. There may be
references to the standard RD40RF manual that is supplied in the shipping box it came
in. If there are any questions about this system, please contact your dealer or Avery
Weigh-Tronix for support.
3.5.1 RD40RF with One 1040/2040 Indicator
When using the RD40RF with the 2040, the remote comes from the factory configured
with the correct settings needed. The 1040/2040 indicator requires a RM200 AG radio
assembly to communicate with the RD40RF. If there is another RD40RF remote used
in the area and is interfering, then the setting must be changed. To find out what
settings are recommended, please contact the factory.
3.5.2 RD40RF with Multiple 1040/2040 Indicators
The RD40RF has the capability to communicate with multiple indicators. This means
that if multiple mixers are used, only one remote is needed to view that data from each
mixer.
To setup the RD40RF, please reference section 3.3. SPT-PT section of the RD40RF
Users manual. When using the RD40RF with multiple indicators and the user want to
change between listening to a different indicator.

Press the
PRINT/SELECT
key and the current indicator is shown.

Press the
MENU
key to scroll to the desired indicator.
3.
Press
PRINT/SELECT
to accept.
NOTE: Each of the 2040 indicators need to have special setting and radio to
accomplish this. Please call factory if there are questions.
