NAT
NAT interface allows you to configure the UPnP™ parameters. Universal Plug and Play (UPnP™) is a
networking architecture that provides compatibility among networking equipment, software and other
hardware devices. The UPnP protocol allows devices to connect seamlessly and to simplify the
implementation of networks in the home and corporate environments. With the function enabled, you
don’t need to configure the port mapping for each port, and the camera is connected to the Wide Area
Network via the router.
1. Check the checkbox to enable the UPnP™ function.
Note:
Only when the UPnP™ function is enabled, ports of the camera are active.
2. Choose a friendly name for the camera, or use the default name.
3. Select the port mapping mode.
Manual
and
Auto
are selectable.
Note:
If you select Auto, you should enable UPnP™ function on the router.
If you select
Manual
, you can customize the value of the external port and complete port mapping
settings on router manually.
4. Click
Save
.
Multicast
The Multicast sends a stream to the multicast group address and allows multiple clients to acquire the
stream at the same time by requesting a copy from the multicast group address.
Note:
Before utilizing this function, you have to enable the Multicast function of your router.
